WHAT’S NEW

A NOTE BEFORE WE BEGIN

What we’re building is conversation

So this is the last email you'll get from this address. And I want to tell you why, because the reason is the whole point.

Beehiiv is a great platform. But it's built for broadcasting, for sending. And somewhere in the past few months, I realised that what Rekonnekt is actually about can't be broadcast. It has to be felt, responded to, built together.

Substack is where conversation happens. Where you can reply and I actually see it. Where what gets written starts to feel less like a newsletter and more like a letter, the kind you write to someone specific, not a list.

That shift matters to me. Because everything we do at Rekonnekt is fundamentally about conversation, the kind that only happens when hierarchy softens, when people stop performing, when there's enough space to be honest. It felt strange to be writing about that from a platform designed for one-way reach.

So we're moving. Same writing, same thinking, same B2B focus, now on a platform that was built for the kind of exchange we actually believe in.

ISSUE 01 | B2B SERIES

THE ROI OF TRUST

We talk a lot about alignment, speed, and decisions that stick. But we rarely talk about what actually makes them possible.

I've been in enough strategy sessions to know that the problem is rarely the strategy.

The slide decks are good. The data is solid. The people in the room are smart. And yet, at the end of the day, something isn't moving.

Not because the plan is wrong. But because there isn't enough trust in the room to execute it.

Three Villas Ascent with a Life Science Group of Leaders

I've seen it happen in leadership teams that have worked together for years. People who are technically aligned but not really aligned. Decisions that get made in the room and quietly revisited in the corridor.

"The real gap is rarely information. It's the quality of the relationship between the people who have to act on it."

When you put a leadership team in motion, genuinely in motion, not a ropes course, not a keynote, something happens that is very difficult to manufacture any other way. Hierarchy softens. People stop performing and start talking.

At Garda Shift 2026, we brought together a group of senior leaders for three days in northern Italy. No keynote speakers. No structured exercises. Just the right people, the right environment, and enough space to let things happen.

What happened after

50%

Partnerships initiated between participants within 48 hours of the experience ending.

80%

Business introductions that led to active conversations.

100%

Of participants said conversations were more honest than in their usual working environment.

These aren't outcomes we designed. They're what happens when you get the conditions right.

Because the ROI of trust isn't abstract. It shows up in how fast a team moves after a decision is made. Whether a partnership gets built or just gets discussed. The difference between a leadership team that executes and one that endlessly realigns.

"Better decisions don't come from more data. They come from having enough trust between people to actually move forward."

If that gap exists in your team right now — and most leadership teams I talk to will quietly admit it does — I'd love to show you what's possible.
